Early starts, evening applications and planned night operations give us greater flexibility during busy periods and hot weather.
Working under SAS Land Services’ operational authorisation, we can schedule suitable spraying and spreading work beyond daylight hours, following daylight site assessment and the required operating procedures.
Plan around the cropApplication timing is agreed around the crop, product instructions, agronomic advice and weather conditions. During hot spells, this may mean an early start or a return in the evening as conditions become suitable.
Prepare before darkNight work is planned following daylight site assessment, with suitable lighting and the visibility, weather and safety measures required by the authorisation and operating procedures.
Extra support for larger projectsAdditional SAS network pilots and aircraft can be coordinated, subject to availability and operational planning.

Ask about a similar job ↗Our DJI Agras T50 and Mavic 3 Multispectral use RTK satellite corrections to support precise positioning and repeatable flight paths. For crop surveys, the required map outputs and accuracy are agreed before collection; positioning precision alone does not establish the accuracy of a finished map.
Based in Blaby, Leicestershire, JP Rural Services welcomes enquiries from across the Midlands. Provide your postcode so travel, access and availability can be assessed.
Send the field location, approximate hectares or acres, crop, intended product or seed, application rate and preferred timing. Photographs and access details help James plan the job.
Aerial application can be useful where steep slopes, wet ground or standing crops make vehicle access difficult. Each site is assessed for flight access and operating suitability.
James discusses the task and provides a quotation before booking. Large agricultural drone operations are carried out under SAS Land Services’ operational authorisation.

We work closely with the landowner, farm or site operator, and their agronomist where involved, to plan each agricultural application around the land, crop and intended outcome.
We agree suitable products, application rates and timing before work begins, drawing on the farm’s knowledge and agronomic advice. Where appropriate, follow-up surveys and field observations help us review the response and plan the next step.
We welcome enquiries from golf clubs, course managers and greenkeeping teams across Leicestershire and the Midlands for multispectral turf surveys, suitable granular fertiliser spreading and foliar feed applications.
Working with your course manager and turf agronomist, we assess the product, application rate, coverage and site access before agreeing the work. Fairways, rough and awkward-access areas may offer opportunities to apply nutrition without machinery travelling over the treated turf.
Multispectral mapping highlights variations in vegetation condition to guide ground checks and maintenance priorities. Application suitability and spread uniformity must be assessed for each surface, particularly fine turf. Work is scheduled around players, staff, public access and operating requirements.
Discuss your golf course ↗JP Rural Services welcomes enquiries from farmers, landowners, agronomists, researchers and product developers planning agricultural trials. We can discuss suitable fertiliser, foliar nutrition and seeding applications, baseline and repeat multispectral surveys, and aerial photography to document changes.
We work to the protocol agreed with your trial lead and agronomist, including treatment areas, comparison plots, rates, timing and application records. Maps and observations can support the wider assessment of crop performance alongside ground measurements and laboratory analysis.
Whether your project is privately financed or grant-supported, contact us early to discuss feasibility, quotations and the drone services needed in your project budget.
Discuss a trial or demonstration ↗ADOPT offers eligible farmers, growers and foresters in Great Britain up to 80% of their eligible project costs, subject to a successful competitive application. It supports collaborative, farmer-led innovation trials; it is not a general discount on routine drone services.
Current Round 10 requires total eligible project costs of £50,000–£200,000, at least two farming, growing or forestry businesses, an England-based lead and an approved project facilitator. Equine-system projects are excluded. Grant recipients must fund the balance, and projects must not begin before the required grant approval.
Drone subcontracting costs may be included where justified and accepted within the project budget. Eligibility, funding rates and open rounds must be checked before committing expenditure.
We provide the drone, qualified pilot and application records. You supply the agreed product, with suitability, rates and timing confirmed beforehand with you and your agronomist where involved.
We quote agricultural applications per hectare or per project, with product costs, travel and any minimum charge clearly identified before booking.
All quotations exclude VAT. VAT will be added at the applicable rate.
